How Much Money Can I Get?

  • The GEAR UP Idaho Scholarship awards are $3,700/year for the 2026-27 academic year. 
  • The amount with change each year, depending on the amount of available funds and the number of applicants. 
  • The scholarship is only guaranteed for four years after graduation - any years not applied for will be forfeited. 

What Do I Need To Do Before I Apply?

Before you apply, make sure you are ready. You will need to meet the eligibility rules and complete the FAFSA by the deadline. 

How do I apply?

You will need to apply for the GEAR UP Idaho Scholarship through Scholarship Idaho, the common application tool for Idaho's sponsored grants and scholarships.
