The Idaho Governor's Cup Scholarship Academic is for Idaho students who will graduate, from an Idaho high school or home school. Applicants must have at least a 2.8 GPA and plan to enroll at an eligible Idaho career-technical or trade program.

How Much Money Can I Get?

The Idaho Governor's Cup Scholarship (Academic) awards up to $3,000 per academic year is renewable for up to three years.

What Do I Need To Do Before I Apply?

Before you apply, make sure you are ready. You will need to meet the eligibility rules and gather the necessary materials.

Meet the Residency and Graduation Requirements
You must:
- Be an Idaho resident
- Have graduated or will graduate from an Idaho high school or Idaho home school (with a transcript), or earned a GED/HSE in Idaho.
  
  If you have graduated, you must be going into the first year of a CTE program.
- Have an unweighted, cumulative GPA of at least 2.8.
Align Your Educational Goals
You must pursue a certificate, first associate's degree, or first bachelor's degree and plan to attend an eligible Idaho college or university during the upcoming academic year (fall semester).
Eligible Colleges and Universities:
Submit Proper Papers
You must submit the following:
- Documentation of volunteer work, community leadership, and public service.
- Two Letters of recommendation
- A 500-word personal essay about your goals and interests.

How do I Apply?

You will need to apply for the Idaho Governor's Cup Scholarship through Scholarship Idaho, the common application tool for Idaho's sponsored grants and scholarships.
