Getting Started

There is only one provider of the official GED®, but there are many sites in Idaho where you can take the exam to earn your high school equivalency. And, you may even qualify for the new online exam.

The test consists of four subjects:

  • Mathematical Reasoning
  • Reasoning Through Language Arts
  • Social Studies
  • Science

The price to take the test in Idaho is $30.00 per subject area, for a total cost of $120.00. There are some additional rules that apply specifically to Idaho residents.

You don’t have to take all 4 tests at once and can space them out however you choose.
