By providing Idaho’s students and their families with a comprehensive clearinghouse of information and resources pertaining to college and career, we hope to demystify the process of planning for the future, breaking it down into manageable pieces and actionable steps. Whether students have their sights set on a four-year college, community college, a certification program, the military, or are still just trying to figure it out, we’re here to help—every step of the way.
The Next Steps website features a grade-by-grade timeline to help Idaho students keep track of everything they need to do and think about as they prepare for life after high school. In addition to the timeline, students, parents, and educators can download checklists and other tools to help keep track of these tasks.
There is also an extensive library of resources categorized by topic area so related information is easy to find—from financial aid, advanced placement opportunities, and support programs, to an Idaho college and university directory, tools to help learn about careers, and more. A comprehensive calendar will also help keep students and families on top of important events and deadlines. And soon, the site will feature a scholarship search.
