Starting this fall (2015), students who take the PSAT8/9 (for grades 8 and 9) or the PSAT/NMSQT (for grades 10 and 11) will have the option of linking their College Board accounts to Khan Academy. No identifiable information about any student will be shared with Khan, but the metadata from the test results will allow Khan to produce a customized practice program for each student.
The resource also helps high school student who are struggling with a weak academic foundation. If the SAT practice resources and sample problems are challenging for a student who, for instance, is not comfortable adding and subtracting fractions. That student will be routed through developmental exercises that boost basic skills, so that he or she can engage meaningfully in college readiness practice associated with the SAT.
